The Academy of Painting „Stati Art” (APSA) is the first private higher education institution in the Republic of Moldova which trains specialists and teachers in the field of fine arts. APSA launched its activity in the academic year 2015-2016 and is supported in its activity of training young people with talent by Academic Foundation for Education and Culture „Voice of Art” in Romania and Foundation „Stati Art” in the Republic of Moldova.
APSA adjusted its training programme to the requirements of the Bologna Process.
APSA focuses on easel painting from the point of view of its academic study, emphasising the creative features of talented students and developing their personal and professional skills in the field of fine arts.
The basic mission of APSA is the training of specialists with real possibilities for fast and efficient integration in the field of fine arts, as well as the training of teachers of fine arts. APSA offers its students a high level of visual education through teaching methods that valuate academic painting, cultural and artistic tradition and also assimilate forms of contemporary artistic language.
APSA oraganises a 4-year Bachelor's study programme, being aimed at developing theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of fine arts as well as its specific branches. The programme is based on students’ individual development, and focuses on their intellectual and practical engagement in relation to ideas, and socio-cultural environment. Through its curriculum and the methods employed the programme of APSA offers students artistic, theoretical, practical and didactic training. Accordingly, the curriculum includes theoretical and practical general and artistic subjects, as well as the standard psychological and pedagogical module.
APSA provides the Bachelor’s programme for the specialty Painting which is a full-time programme of study with the duration of four years, consisting of 240 transferable credits. The Academy also provides optionally training via a psycho-pedagogical module consisting of 60 credits.
The graduates of this programme can expect to land a job in the domain of fine arts and pedagogy, being prepared extremely well for a rewarding career in the Republic of Moldova or abroad. They will be able to work as painters, school teachers of fine arts, cultural consultants, researchers in the field of painting and fine arts, art assistants, managers of art projects, etc.
